More info... :)

Alright! We're down to just a few weeks before the reunion! :) We have had an awesome response so far and are so excited to see everyone!! I wanted to give everyone a few more details...

In the morning on June 20th, We'll be meeting at
MATHIS PARK at 10:00
It's the park in Green Valley. You turn South at McDonalds and go down that road (Dixie Dr. I believe). It will be on your left hand side- across from Sunbrook Golf Course. If you need a map- the link is :
http://www.sgcity.org/leisure/map/parks.php
Again- We will have a light breakfast there for everyone (the whole family)- FREE of charge. :) Come have fun!

Also- Jami Jenkins Seegmiller has started a charity called Womenaid. It's a great organization that donates money to help women in the area. There will be a lemon-aid stand set up at the park. All proceeds will be going to Woman-aid. Please come thirsty and with a little extra pocket change! It's going toward a great cause! :) If you would like to be a part of Women-aid, please let us know! :)

Then later that night at 6:00 will be the dinner at Snow Canyon High School. Dress is Semi-dressy if you can. :) Just a reminder- Dinner will be $10.00 a person and it's Pay at the Door. Also- there will be free babysitting there at the high school.

One thing that we're excited about is our RAFFLE. We are going to have a really fun raffle during dinner to earn money for our future class reunions. There will be lots of prizes. We wanted to ask our fellow Warriors for donations for the Raffle as well- whether you have your own business or service you would like to donate... or maybe your family or place you work for would be willing to help. Please let us know if you are interested, and we will set up some "advertising" for helping us out! :)

We want to make sure we have knowledge of everyone in our class who is currently serving, or who has served our country in the Armed Forces. Thank you for all you do for us at home! We appreciate it more than you'll ever know! If you, or somebody you know of in our class is in any department of the Armed Forces, please let us know! :)

One last thing (as of now) :)... We are trying to get a hold of EVERYBODY in the class, but it's been hard to track everyone down! I have about 220 people in our class on Facebook, and the rest are still being tracked down slowly. If you have phone numbers or email addresses of anybody in our class, please let me know! We're hoping to get the word to everyone! Please help us and spread the word! :)

Thank you Everyone! It's going to be a wonderful reunion! We're so excited. Please let me or Morgan know if you are a YES OR NO... either way. Just so we know who we still need to contact... We hope there's a lot more YES's than NO's though! :)

Thank you for all the help!! We couldn't pull it off without you!

Reunion Info!!!

Ok... Finally...
INFO ON THE REUNION! :)
There's lots of info below so please read! :)

The Snow Canyon, Class of 2004, 5 year reunion
is just a little over a month away!
Saturday, June 20th!

We finally have some more detailed information to give everyone! A few people have been told some other information (We had to change a location)- So hopefully everyone will get the word around about the new details!

On Saturday Morning, we will be meeting over at
a park at 10:00 am.
Location still to be determined.
I'll let you know ASAP...
(A few people were told the Santa Clara Park on the main drag in Santa Clara Heights but it has already been reserved.)
For those of you with kids, we'll let them play (It will either be at the park in Santa Clara with the splash pad or at a playground). For everyone else, we'll be hanging out, eating brunch (We'll have food there for everyone), and we'll have kickball, Frisbee, etc. to play. It will be a fun relaxed way to see everyone and just hang out. :)

That evening, we will be meeting again
at 6:00, at good ol'
Snow Canyon High School
for a semi-formal dinner for just the adults.
It's going to be so Yummy!!!
Everyone voted on Pasta Factory, so
Pasta Factory it is! :)
The cost of the meal will be $10.00 per person, which is a great price!

For the dinner, we will be needing some help. We will need some people to volunteer to make up some desserts, and also to help decorate the night before. That's right- we're going all out! :)
Also-Morgan's little sister, Paige Fielding (Snow Canyon's class of 2010) will be putting together free babysitting with some other girls for those of you who do not have somebody living in town still to watch your kids.

We need to start getting a count for everything- dinner especially.
Please RSVP to
Morgan Fielding or I (Jenna Heinrich Corry)
on facebook, on this blog, or my personal blog
as soon as possible.
We're trying to get a count to Pasta Factory by June 1st.
Please let us know if you will be at the Morning Hang Out, the Evening Dinner, or BOTH!! (Which hopefully it will be the last one! :)
Also- if just you will be attending, or you and a guest.

We wanted to let everyone know that we are planning on having a table set up for our fellow Warriors who have started businesses of their own... Whether it's Photography, Cake Decorating, Landscaping, Music, Bows... ANYTHING... Please come with business cards and/or something SMALL to put on the table to demonstrate your business and to get the word out to others. So many of you have furthered your talents and I think it's awesome! We'd love to see what kind of businesses you have started!

For those of you who will not be able to attend, you will be missing out! :) But we understand that everyone is everywhere.
We still would like to know what you are up to though! School? Work? Military? Traveling? Family? Etc...
So please send us a paragraph or so, and preferably a picture to let us know what you've been doing for the last five years.
Please send it to Morgan or I on Facebook, or shoot an email to
sc.classof04@gmail.com

(We'd also like everyone who IS coming to do this too... We'll be putting everything in a book to pass around at the reunion.)

We are SOOO excited!
It will be so fun to see everybody. I kind of know what's going on with some of you through blogs and facebook... but it's SOOO different to see you in person!
It's much better!
If any of you have any ideas too it would be greatly appreciated! :)

So please spread the word, and let us know if you would like to help and what with!! :)

See you on
June 20th!!

Hey Guys...
Like Morgan said- we have an official date for the reunion!
JUNE 20th, 2009
We're really excited to get things going, and again- if any of you would like to help, we're trying to get together some committees. If you'd like to help- please let us know! Either call us or leave a comment.
One way to help- is to vote on the poll on the right hand side. We've had a few ideas for dinners/themes for the evening, and wanted to know what you thought. What would you rather have to eat that night...
Pasta Factory
BBQ (Hot Dogs/Hamburgers)
A Luau

Please Vote and let us know. We obviously want to go with what the majority of our class would want. :) We have different ideas for each of the meals (Sorry- I can't help but always think of the decorating part!) So let your voice be heard! :)
Morgan has some great ideas for the whole day (She's awesome) so we'll keep you posted... But for now, just plan to be in St. George that weekend for an awesome time getting "re-acquainted" with those you grew up with. And please spread the word!! :) THANKS!

Mark Your Calendars - June 20th, 2009

I've been asking around as much as possible when I run into old friends from the Class of '04 and it seems like Saturday June 20th is the most convenient date for the majority of classmates to be able to attend the 5 year reunion. I've gotten some great input already from lots of people, and I'm always open to more ideas of things we can do at the reunion. I'm grateful that so many people have offered to help and I will definitely be getting in touch with those of you who have offered your services!

We're getting quite the list of bloggers on our site and it's great to see what is going on in everyone's lives. I can't wait to see everyone this summer and I'll keep everyone posted when plans are more definite!

P.S.

Hey! If any of you find this blog- PLEASE leave a comment so we know you've been here! It's great to have everyone connected! :) And if your blog is not on the list- let us know! :) I'll add you! Thanks!

Class of 2004

George W. Bush was elected for his second term as the President of the United States of America, the United States dominated in the medal count at the Olympic Games in Athens, the Boston Red Sox came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Yankees for the World Series title, the Pistons beat the Lakers to win the NBA championship (Jordan Wade - if you are reading this you still owe me a shake for losing that bet), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King won best picture at the Academy Awards, Wicked should have won the Tony for best musical (not that I know anything about musicals, really), former US President Ronald Reagan passed away, a whale spontaneously exploded in Taiwan (you can thank Wikipedia for that one) and the SCHS class of 2004 kissed the best 3 years of their lives goodbye.

Okay - so maybe they weren't the best 3 years of our lives and there really IS life after high school. It's been nearly 4 and a half years since my mom finished writing my graduation speech for me (true story) and I'm finally all grown up and writing this blog completely and totally by myself. It's amazing the things one can accomplish in such a short period of time, and what better way to celebrate all that we've achieved since graduating than by getting together every 5 - 10 years to remind ourselves just how far we've really come. While the 5 year reunion for the Snow Canyon High School graduating class of 2004 is still many months away I figured there is no time like the present to begin preparations for such an awesome event. The reality is that I'm usually a huge procrastinator, so if we factor in all the time it's going to take me to put off doing things for the reunion I'm probably months behind schedule and need to get a move on things.

There have been times in the past few years when I've thought to myself, "Do we even need a 5 year reunion? I'm guessing that everyone hasn't changed that much and we still see the people from high school that we really want to see. Why don't we skip it and just do a 10 year?". I ran that idea by a few of the members of our graduating class and realized quickly that there was no way I was getting out of planning a 5 year - and I love our class for just that reason. I suppose that since there were so many people against skipping the 5 year that we will have awesome attendance next year - so everyone get excited!

I would like to give a big public world wide web thank you to Jenna Heinrich Corry for helping me put this blog together. I definitely could not have done it without her! We started this blog in hopes of keeping our grade updated on each others lives. Consider it your one stop shopping for blog lurking fellow Warrior alumni. Hopefully it will also be a great tool for planning the reunion. I'll try to update it as soon as a committee is formed and we start needing input from everyone for the reunion. If you would like to help with the reunion we need all the help we can get and would love to be able to utilize everyone's unique talents. I've seen that many people have started mastering different talents such as photography and cake decorating. I would love to be able to find a way to incorporate these spectacular abilities. If someone could make a cake that looked like a Warrior head they would be my hero for life (or any other Warrior inspired cake for that matter).

If you would like to help with the reunion you can send an e-mail to
sc.classof04@gmail.com, my personal account at morgtorg@gmail.com, or just leave a comment on this blog.

Thanks to Nicole Parkinson we also have a Facebook group specifically for our class, so you can join that as well and we'll keep reunion info on that account. For those of you who have private blogs I would love to be able to see what's going on in your lives, so if you want to add the class of 2004's e-mail address or my personal address to your safe list I think that would be fantastic! If anyone has ideas on how to better use this blog as a tool for staying connected I am all ears.

I am so glad that Austin Cope totally creamed me in the race for Student Body President because that means I have the wonderful opportunity of being extremely involved in planning our reunions. I look forward to seeing everyone in a few months and partying like it's 2004, because in the slightly altered words of Zac Efron in High School Musical 3, "Once you're a Warrior, you're always a Warrior".

Much love,
Morgan Lynn Fielding
